550g Bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
225g Unsalted butter
2 tins black cherries, drained
1 jar Goldew Peppers®, drained
2 ½ cups sugar
6 Large eggs
10ml Kirsch
200g Flour
½ tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1. Preheat the oven to 150°C.
2. Line a square pan with greaseproof paper.
3. Melt the chocolate together with the butter in a double boiler.
4. Pit and chop cherries.
5. Whisk the sugar and eggs together. Then whisk in the chocolate mixture and add the kirsch.
6. Mix in the flour, salt and baking powder.
7. Gently mix in the cherries & Goldew Peppers.
8. Spread onto prepared tray. Bake for about 30-35 min.
9. Cool in pan.
